GOD'S PROPERTY THUNDER BASKETBALL CLUB

About Our Club

GP Thunder, established in 2011, is a competitive basketball program with a foundation based in Christian principles.  We strive to create an environment of excellence where the player's development is our first priority.  As the club continues to grow, its the goal of the organization to have teams for both boys and girls, in grades 2nd - 12th.

GP Thunder believes that the pursuit of excellence in the areas of academics and basketball helps develop maturity and self-confidence. We believe that the experiences a player has with GP Thunder will be beneficial throughout their lifetime.

The focus of GP Thunder is the development of the individual player. Our goal is to maximize the development of the individual through programming that challenges each player, a coaching staff that adheres to high standards, and first class facilities. GP Thunder is resolute in dedicating its time and resources to the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of playing basketball.

Offered Programs

Elementary Developmental Teams:
Please don't confuse developmental with recreational.  The mission of this program is to provide a competitive basketball environment without the commitment of playing the entire Spring and Summer.  This program is specifically design to appeal to our younger players (Grades 2 to 5) whose families wish to balance playing a competitive basketball season, with having a life and some time for relaxation during the summer time.

Middle School Travel Teams
The Spring/Summer Travel Program is designed for those players that are serious about basketball and have a desire to play at the High School Level. This program normally requires the player to be committed to basketball from February to July. There are exceptions to the rule, but the decision to keep a player, that has a dual commitment, is left to the coach because he/she knows what's best for their particular TEAM. We certainly don't want to turn any player away, but we also don't want to hold a team hostage due to the uncertainty of a player's availability.

High School Exposure Travel Teams
The High School Exposure Program is designed for those rising High School players that are already serious about basketball and have a desire to excel at their current level, as well as position themselves to play at the Collegiate Level. This program normally requires the player to be committed to the program from March to May, and then regroup in July. The reason for the gaps in the season are due to the fact that most High School coaches hold Summer Leagues and workouts during the month of June. So we don't want to conflict with the High School coach's desire to have all rising Freshman and Upperclassmen available during this time period.
